QPR owner http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Fernandes has urged Joey Barton to stop with his shenanigans both on and off the field; otherwise he will be forced to kick him out.
Once an International for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, the career of Joey Barton has cascaded swiftly since his arrival at Loftus Road.
Long gone are his Manchester City days, which were followed by a controversy marked stay at Tyneside with Newcastle United.
Although cheered by the faithful Geordie supporters, the 29-year-old hardly did anything to prove his worth on the field and with the club signing several new stars, he was let go and chose to start things afresh in London last year.
He arrived with great potential and was even given the captaincy, but he failed to make the most of his chance and his season culminated with a 12-match ban after an ugly incident at the Etihad.
Barton, despite his side’s equalizer, chose to vent his supposed frustrations at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero.
While the players tried to intervene, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184, until the referee decided that he had enough and sent him off for good.
Scathing criticism of the Three Lions International has ensued and the Football Association showed no leniency in handing him a lengthy ban.
Even Queens Park Rangers’ proprietor Tony Fernandes has taken a dig at the play-maker, claiming that if he did not end his antics on the field, he would unceremoniously be shown the door.
"Joey's realized his mistakes. Hopefully we can put this behind us. I am someone who believes everybody deserves a chance - as long as that someone shows they want the chance. For me, it's now down to Joey. I can say whatever I want, but it's all up to Joey."
"I applaud everyone in this process. Commonsense prevailed. Joey's put a lot at risk by saying I'm going to prove that I want to remain a member of QPR, and credit to him. We have been hard and rightly so - but everyone has come out of this a winner and
we've done it with style,” he said.
Despite what happened in Manchester two months ago, it seems that Barton is going to be given a last chance to prove his worth to QPR and if he doesn’t make the most of it, his career will probably take a drastic nosedive.
