Fernando Alonso and Ferrari optimistic about Britain Grand Prix

The European Grand Prix was the platform where Ferrari unveiled their blown rear diffuser upgrade which according to the Spanish driver Fernando Alonso would assist the car in cornering better.

Fernando Alonso further commented that in the European Grand Prix the configuration of the F10 witnessed in Valencia would allow the drivers an enhanced safety measure in the fast coming corners. In a competitive race it is hard to predict the outcome, one can only prepare to the best of their needs, maintain their optimism to perform at their best and receive the outcome they deserve.

Although Fernando Alonso has moved further down in the drivers’ championship achieving fifth position after the receiving the top position in the season opener at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The unfortunate incident in Valencia last month made the 28 year old Fernando Alonso to finish not in the predicted third place. As he had the safety car in front of him which was caught in the midst of an ugly crash between the Heikki Kovalainen’s Lotus and the Red Bull of Mark Webber.

McLaren’s 2008 champion, Lewis Hamilton overtook the safety car causing a lot of disagreement and had to face the fine of a drive through  penalty which benefited him to a great extent and he secured the second spot and behind Sebastian Vettel of the Red Bull. The penalty to Hamilton didn’t help Fernando Alonso who due to the circumstances finished with eight position.

Ferrari regardless of their heart-wrenching and unsuccessful outcome at the Valencia this year, were glad to view their victory in the prime performance of their blown rear diffuser. The Red Bull was the first to attempt this racing season.

There have been a lot of changes made to the Silverstone track where the upcoming weekend race would take place. The track now features a number of fast corners which might be a pickle and wouldn’t be of high compatibility with the F10 of Ferrari, but Fernando Alonso still remains optimistic and feels that the car’s performance would be at its prime.

The car’s engine has been under continuous surveillance with the engineers working extra hours trying to determine all of the car’s characteristics and if they suit the track layout. All of the information available to them has been looked after including previewing all of the MotoGP races, held at the track.

Furthermore Fernando Alonso has admitted that there would be extra caution taken on Thursday morning to determine right before the race, if as per the track the car is aligned paying special caution to the bumps and sharp corners on the track.

Fernando Alonso explained in detail the extreme measures that the F10 has taken and was unveiled in Valencia. More changes would be coming in the Silverstone track and in the races coming after that. F10 has produced a great and extensive programme which is destined to produce the results that would assist Ferrari attain the results they have been looking for.

Stefano Domenicali, Ferrari team principal has high expectations that the upcoming three grand prix’s would turn the tables for their team and would take them closer to the title.

He has stated that for the summer break to really kick off for the team and to achieve the wanted results for their team, it is eminent for the future championships that the motivation level is at its peak. He added that even though the last two races have produced results which they were not happy with the performance was not disappointing by any means.

The Silverstone track traditionally is not the best for Ferrari, but considering Alonso’s decent record at the track Ferrari are still optimistic.
