Fernando Alonso believes toughest part of the season is yet to come

Formula one 2010 season has been one of the most exciting ones in recent memory. Never has the title race been so close and so difficult to call. With 4 races remaining it’s still anyone’s game and all 5 contenders can still win
the title.
Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso won last 2 races and leapfrogged Lewis Hamilton to take the 2nd spot on the driver standings. Alonso has said that the remainder of the season would bring the toughest test so far.
Alonso has sent out a warning to his rivals after the summer break, and has lived up to his word. The Spaniard has shown fantastic form and won the Italian and Singapore Grand Prix back to back and is now 11 points adrift of Mark
Webber who leads the table with 4 races left in the season.
Alonso said that all bets are off now, and the strongest would survive. He added that the season finale will not only test the driver’s ability to manoeuvre the car but also the mental ability to handle the pressure.
Alonso said "The hard part is still ahead of us.
"Now it starts getting serious, we will have to experience some pain and it is time for everyone to give their all without taking a single backward step."
Never has it been so close, and now 5 contenders who were tipped as favourites when the season began in March are all still in the hunt.
The 2 British drivers from McLaren Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, and Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel are all in line to win the title; just 25 points separate the top 5.
At halfway point of the season it was mainly a race between Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton at top of the table. However Fernando Alonso made a remarkable comeback and stormed to 2 consecutive wins in Italy and Singapore.  The Spaniard
now has the momentum and will be favourite to push Webber all the way. The last 4 races will take place in Japan, South Korea, Brazil and the final one will be in Abu Dhabi.
The 2 time world champion said that nothing is final just yet and anyone of the 5 still can take away the title. He said that it is high pressure time now and anyone who misses a trick from now on will have a mountain to climb
in terms of winning the title, and due to the new points system one big win now can really tilt the title race either way. Alonso said that even if he does not manage to win the race, it is always in his mind to try for the podium and keep doping that till
the end of the season, and hopes that he will have enough points come the end of the season.
"I stick with my belief that the key is to always to finish on the podium and then do the maths in Abu Dhabi."
The Ferrari driver won the first race of the season that took place in Bahrain, since then it was Red Bull’s duo of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber who dominated the season. The Austrian team had by far the fastest cars on the
circuit, and it did take some time for the rest to catch on as they added new modifications to their cars.
Alonso’s controversial win in Germany reignited his fight for the title. It was in Hockenheim when his team mate Felipe Massa appeared to have slowed down and let him pass. Alonso ended up winning the race but Ferrari came under
severe criticism from former drivers and race experts. Ferrari were also summoned by World Motorsport governing body but were not given any further sanctions.
