Fernando Alonso eyes trouble-free season ahead – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has said that he is hoping for a trouble free season ahead while he said that they must keep on making the substantial developments to win the 2012 Formula 1 World Championship.
Alonso is arguably the best driver in the field this year and is currently leading the drivers’ rankings with 154 points. Moreover, he is 34 points ahead of his main rival, Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing who has a lead of 10 points over his teammate and
the defending champion, Sebastian Vettel.
Moreover, he is the first driver who has won three races in the current season until now. Additionally, he has delivered amazing performances in every kind of circumstances and has been deemed as the strongest driver in this year’s championship.
In addition, the two-time world champion said that the competition is extremely tough as almost all the teams have shown some great pace in the first half. Besides, he said that this season is very much different as compared to the last one because nothing
can be predicted about the forthcoming races. He also said that he is pleased with his team’s efforts and performance so far.
Furthermore, he said that if they want to maintain their lead in the championship to claim the title in the end, they must continue making the significant advancements in their car and should improve their overall operations.
“The grid is so tight, so in one tenth you have four or five cars. In races we are all more or less in same performance, it's not like last year when there were six cars. This year every detail counts, every pit-stop counts, the start, so I think there's
a little bit more stress on grid or between all of us. We've been lucky in some moments of championship, some manoeuvres and some incidents. We've been finishing all races in points which obviously helps us, but we need to keep going like this and hopefully
have a trouble-free season,” he said.
Over and above, it will be immensely interesting to see how the Spaniard performs in the upcoming races.
