Fernando Alonso loses his temper
Fernando Alonso has had one of the toughest seasons of his career in 2010 after he lost the drivers’ standings lead at the very final race in Abu Dhabi. Fernando needed to finish in 4th place in order to finish ahead of Sebastian Vettel in terms
of points but unfortunately; he finished in 7th place behind Renault driver Vitaly Petrov.
The two time world champion was stuck behind Vitaly for almost 40 laps and it seemed that Alonso did not have the pace to overtake the young Russian driver. However, after a disappointing end to an extra-ordinary season for Fernando, he was obviously extremely
frustrated and it seems that he just can’t wait to race again and win this time.
The Spaniard has been trying his level best to help his team in every possible way to ensure that Team Ferrari delivers the best possible car for the 2011 Formula 1 season. Since KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) is going legal in 2011, Fernando stated
that he is going to lose some weight since the device is quite heavy and the team needs to make it up for the weight increase.
After a successful crash test, Fernando Alonso went to Porto Santo, a small Portuguese island on his private jet and it seems that he is extremely annoyed by the photographers of that area.
Most of the people believe that it is because of the fact that he is still disappointed and he wants to focus. But still, that does not explain his attitude against the media in any way. A video was recently revealed in which Alonso is furious and starts
yelling at the photographers in Spanish.
“The first photographer or camera I see in the next days, I will leave the next day and tell everyone that Porto Santo is a disaster … Ok? So please leave us alone,” according to a video that shows the 29-year-old telling the group in Spanish before he gives
a thumbs-down gesture.
This footage was featured in local news coverage on the television as well and it was stated that Alonso has been even more aggressive and rude on occasions.
The Spaniard is expected to attend Ferrari’s traditional “Wroom” now, which will take place in the Italian Dolomites in a couple of days.
