Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton?

Fernando Alonso. End of discussion.
Now let’s go back in time and see how Fernando Alonso is much better than Lewis Hamilton. Whenever we say that Fernando Alonso is better than Lewis Hamilton, we analyze every aspect of the sport and not just speed and aggression. On the other hand, if we
are talking about sheer speed, aggression and rapping like a “gangsta,” Lewis is the better man by a mile.
Both drivers have been extraordinarily great and it is because of their unique personalities and passion for the sport that they are known as the best drivers this sport has ever produced.
Fernando Alonso has 2 championships to his credit. The Spaniard began his Formula 1 journey in 2001 but did not drive in 2002 before joining Renault in 2003. Fernando was able to secure the best results out of a car that was nowhere near the top running
cars and his team always praised his abilities and suggestions about improving the car. After the 2004 Formula 1 season, it was quite obvious that Alonso was going to secure a good seat in the near future. However, Fernando helped Renault until then and surprisingly
took the title for two consecutive years. 2005 and 2006 were the best two seasons for Renault ever and it seemed that the team had finally made its mark in the sport.
However, Fernando joined McLaren in 2007. A team he dreamed of driving for since he was a little kid. It seemed that his dream had finally come true and he was going pretty well as well. But all his hopes and dreams were broken by just one man who joined
McLaren as for his rookie season in the sport. Yes, Lewis Hamilton joined the sport in 2007 and became the first black driver to drive in the sport. The young British driver shocked everyone by scoring 9 consecutive podium positions in the first 9 races of
his career.
It was not like Fernando wasn't scoring any points but since this was Hamilton’s debut season, one has to agree that McLaren gave him more attention than Fernando Alonso even though both of them were equally challenging each other for the title and it seemed
that Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost had revived once again. Since Lewis was the first black driver to drive in the sport, he gained a lot of media attention and therefore, the world took him to cloud 9.
After a lot of conflicts and discrimination, Fernando left the team and decided to return to Renault. At that moment, Renault was back to where it started from and Alonso was stuck with the team for 2 years. During this time, Lewis Hamilton was able to secure
his first title as well but had a disappointing 2009 Formula 1 season.
However, both of the drivers scored their best performances to date in 2010 and since Alonso joined Ferrari this season, the Spaniard came back on the right track. Ferrari passed the same sort of comments that Fernando is extremely helpful during the set-up
process while Lewis.... is not as useful as he looks.
Both drivers are amongst the best Formula 1 has to offer without a doubt. But one has to agree that Fernando Alonso earned his way to the top with Renault as he helped the team build itself from scratch and score the best results any team could hope for.
Other than that, Fernando broke the ice by defeating Michael Schumacher who absurdly dominated the sport for 5 consecutive years and it seemed that he was unbeatable.
Fernando did not get lucky when he defeated Michael Schumacher. In fact, he beat the 7-time world champion twice in a row in a Renault while Michael was driving a Ferrari which was at its peak. Lewis Hamilton on the other hand, defeated Fernando Alonso with
the help of his team. But even then, both drivers were tied with 109 points behind Kimi Raikkonen but Lewis took the 2nd spot in the drivers’ standings in 2007 since he scored more pole positions than Alonso.
The bottom line is, Lewis Hamilton scored great results with McLaren. He never drove for a back running or mid-running team and therefore, he never got the chance to prove that he can score great results without McLaren, while Fernando Alonso has been in
the best and the worst and he proved that he can drive anything that has 4 wheels and beat the best in the sport.
