The arrival of Remi Garde as the new coach of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 has seen a rapid influx of the club’s academy players to the Lyon first-team.
The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Max-c24993 Gonalons and Clement Grenier have already shown promise since the beginning of the new campaign. However, there is still one exception to this case. Young Brazilian player Fernando Amorim signed a contract with Lyon
months ago but the youngster is yet to get an all-clear from FIFA.
Former Olympique Lyonnais player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mahamadou-Diarra-c23077 is a big fan of the youngster. While talking to the media about Amorim’s talents, he said, “He is a real gem. The little Brazilian is exhuberant and will go anywhere in a blink of an eye.”
The 30-year-old’s comments on the young player certainly speak volumes about the talent and qualities of Fernando Amorim who is yet to play for Lyon.
The 16-year-old midfielder has already been discussed so many times in French sports magazines after he signed a contract with Les Gones at the end of the summer transfer window.
Though FIFA recognises the contract, it has refused to certify the player as a Lyon employee. The youngster was a piece of great scouting but sadly, FIFA has not yet said anything about certifying the player so far. FIFA has so far dragged the case too much
and Lyon are now considering taking the case to the civil court in order to get the youngster the clearance to play for the reserves before Garde slowly inducts him with the senior squad.
FIFA is to deliver its final verdict by the end of this year. Amorim on the other hand, is hoping to see the matter resolved as quickly as possible.
Furthermore, it is even more important for the issue to be sorted out soon as the likes of Juventus, Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 are closely monitoring the situation. The longer this case drags on, the more will Amorim get agitated at being stuck at the end
of nowhere.
Loss of the young Brazilian could also be a major blow to Lyon’s plans as the club has only recently started investing on youth.
