The Argentine holding midfielder reiterated his desire to stay with the Giallorossi in the coming season; however he knows that it is not just his decision
to make.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boca-Juniors-c38658 defensive midfielder has been a regular feature of Luis Enrique’s Roma, and he has stressed that he would like to extend his stay with the capital
outfit. However, he also mentioned that even though he wanted to stay at the club, Los Blancos would be making the final decision.
The 25-year-old came to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 in the summer transfer window, on loan from Real Madrid. The Argentine international transferred to Madrid from Boca Juniors, and has
been at big clubs throughout his career. The midfielder mentioned this in his interview, and remarked:
“Roma has a special attraction, even if I have already played for some big clubs. I just want to finish the season in the best possible way and then, at the end of the campaign,
we’ll make some conclusions.”
He further went on to state that the decision is not his own to make, there are other stakeholder’s who will have their say as well. He commented:
“I would like to stay at Roma, but it doesn’t just depend on me – it will be up to the club and also Real Madrid.”
There are still eight games left in the Serie A season, and Roma are eyeing for a place in the Champions League for next season. The Wolves midfielder further went on to
state the importance of competing in such a prestigious competition. He further commented on the adaptation they have had to go through because of the new system in place. Gago mentioned:
“Playing in that competition would be important, but we have to take things one game at a time. We have been making mistakes in
defence, but that is only normal because you need time to assimilate such a complex way of playing football.”
Enrique’s men have to continue with the momentum they’ve created in the past few rounds, after recording three victories out of four. They are still four points adrift of
