The Athletic Bilbao striker has stated that he would love to move to the English Premier League in June and believes that it would be a great challenge.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Llorente-c13671, the out of favour Bilbao striker, has recorded that he would be glad to move to an English Premier League club in immediate future, as his contract with the Spanish club nears an end.
The striker was heavily linked with moves to a number of top clubs around Europe, as his situation at the Basque country side deteriorated.
Llorente was tipped to leave the Spanish side in the summer transfer window but the move stalled due to some dealings of the club.
Llorente has been a great goal-scorer and was the top Spanish goal scorer in La Liga last year.
Spanish players have been very impressive in the English Premier League as proved by the brilliance executed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santi-Cazorla-c32505 at Arsenal and Michu at Swansea City, since their moves from La Liga at the end of last season.
Llorente is also looking up to the challenge and wants to make his mark in one of the most recognised leagues in the world.
Tottenham, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Manchester City have all been known to be chasing the Bilbao man and as his contract nears expiry, the bill might also suit the purchaser.
"I really like the Premier League and I've mentioned on more than one occasion that it's a league which appeals to me a lot. You never know. It's one good option in terms of my future but we'll have to wait until the end of the season to see what happens.”
"It is true that we are approaching the date when I can sign for other clubs. I'm trying to keep it so that it is something which is managed by my brother and my representatives. That leaves me to focus on my football and help my team, Athletic, and nothing
else, maintain focus."
Bilbao are having a troubled season under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554 Bielsa and have failed to emulate their performances of previous season, which saw them reach two finals of major competitions including Copa del Rey and the UEFA Europa League.
