Fernando Torres believes move to Chelsea proves his loyalty towards Liverpool
Former Liverpool striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 is the sign of his loyalty towards his former employers.
The Spaniard was of the view that he could have moved to Manchester United or Manchester City but he did not because he did not want to disappoint his Liverpool fans.
Torres’s desire to win the silverware prompted him to make a move to Stamford Bridge and it really hampered the Spaniard’s image amongst the Anfield faithful.
The striker confirmed that he expected a lot at Anfield in terms of winning the medals but his three and a half year stay at the club did not allow him to win any. The only laurel he has is the Spanish second division medal which is not the only achievement
the striker wants in his playing career.

The striker said, “I did not want to go to Manchester City or Manchester United. I could never do that, out of loyalty to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, but the Liverpool I left was not the same club as the one I joined. I did not understand the path the club was following.”
“It's not as if I was the first to leave the club in the last few years. Look at [Xabi] Alonso, [Javier] Mascherano, [Alvaro] Arbeloa, [Albert] Riera, [and manager Rafael] Benitez. Some 20 or 30 left, all to improve themselves,” he added.
The 26-year-old added that he never wanted to leave Liverpool but a better offer prompted him to make a move to go along with a better team. Liverpool fans were found furious at Torres’ move and burnt down his shirts in protest.
The striker has not had an ideal time at Stamford Bridge as he has not been able to score a single goal for the club in the five appearances he has made for the Blues so far.
