Chelsea’s striker, Fernando Torres has gone on to remind Barcelona that the best team doesn’t always win and that the underdogs can steal the show from time to time.
The Blues took on Barcelona at the Camp Nou in a game that no one expected them to win. Following http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 being shown a red card, these claims seemed to get reinforced even further.
However a goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 a much needed boost later on in the game.
In the dying stages of the match, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 managed to break free of the Barcelona defence, he then side stepped past Valdes and slotted the ball into the back of an empty net.
As a result, Chelsea went up in the tie by three goals to two and ended up securing a spot for themselves in the finals of the Champions League.
When talking about the match, following his tie winning goal, Torres went on to remind Barcelona that it was all about being effective and not necessarily playing the prettiest football all the time.
The Spanish international is quoted to have said: "Football is just like this"
"The better side does not always win.

"We knew this is what we had to do against Barca, although this is not the prettiest thing to do.”

"We used our weapons and it turned out great for us in both matches. Barca had their chances, but they did not take them and we found a lifeline with Ramires' goal.”

"We have great respect for Barca because we know they are the strongest side in the world."
The forward was then asked whether he would like to play Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the final game of the tournament.
In response to that, the striker said that he didn’t have any preferences, but he wouldn’t mind playing anyone as long as the Blues went on to win the Champions League at the end of the day.
"I have no preferences because if we want to win the Champions League, we have to beat any side."
