After winning the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea, Torres has hinted at his growing frustration due to the role that he has played at Stamford Bridge ever since his arrival at the club from Liverpool for 50 million pounds
in transfer fee....
The Spanish striker is now set to hold talks over the summer with Chelsea over his future which could possibly be away from the English Premier League and Stamford Bridge. Chelsea paid a whopping 50 million pounds for the Spanish
striker when he was the hottest property in the English Premier League to lure him away from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
However Torres has not shined at Chelsea as many expected him too. With a minimal return through goals this season and that too in the later stages of the season, Torres was put on the bench for the UEFA Champions League final
as Didier Drogba started up front on his own. Now over the summer Torres has hinted that he might be set for a departure from the club if the role allotted to him next season isn’t up to his preference.
In his latest interview he also spoke about how he also gave up on football due to his lack of form at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the past season and a half. The Spaniard said, “It was a huge disappointment when I saw the line-up, perhaps the
biggest in my life. I thought I would play in this game and I couldn't imagine not doing so. But in the end I could participate and offer the team something. I'm really happy.”
He added, "This season I have felt things that I never had before. I've felt like they treated me in a way that I didn't expect. Not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me. We've had a lot of talks and we'll talk about
my future.” It will be interesting to see whether or not Chelsea adapt the way they play to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 set to part ways with the club, Chelsea will need Torres to fire on all cylinders, something that has not
happened yet.
