Fernando Torres vows to improve for Chelsea – Premier League Update
Spanish international, World Cup winner and Chelsea forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 has gone on to vow to improve his form for the upcoming Premier league season. The striker has gone on to admit that he hasn’t had the best of start’s to his career with the Blues,
but is hopeful for all of that to change, once he gets ample rest in the summers.
The striker went on to recently make an appearance for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, as they played USA in an international friendly. The striker managed to score a goal in the game and has stated, that the form that he has started to pick up in recent weeks, will end up proving
to be the key to him having a better season, next time around.
When talking about his performance against USA in the friendly, Torres is quoted to have said: "I have only played twice for the national team in recent times. The injuries I have had prevented me from being in good shape. I am happy that the team won and
that everything was perfect."
However, the player then turned his attention to his form this past season and went on to add: “It has been a really difficult season for me.
"A lot of things happened over the past 12 months but I am looking forward to the last game of season [against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039] over the next three days.”
Following his fifty million pound move from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, the striker has really failed to make an impact for the Blues.
The striker has in recent weeks, proven to be a mere shadow of his former self and from the performances he has been putting in, it seems like a long shot for him to ever start playing at the same calibre that he used to.
Torres personally feels that the break that has been a long time coming for him, is going to do the trick. This long awaited rest, is not only going to help the player recover from his injuries, but will also help him focus more as a player, this coming
season.
When talking about the summers and the upcoming season, Torres went on to add: “I finally get to go on a break,” he said. “It’s been five summers with no holidays and we have a chance to enjoy with family and rest and I am sure next season will be a lot
different from the last one."
At the moment, the striker has a lot to live up to, however, most Chelsea fans will be hoping for the striker to live up to his words and rekindle his past glory.
