Fernhill Jess expected to dominate April Dash Dup
Fernhill Jess has been rated as hot favourite for April Dash Dup at Henlow in England on Thursday, April 26, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
The race distance to cover for all runners will be 277 metres, which means that stamina will not really matter in the end. The action is scheduled to begin at 19:45 GMT and following entries have been confirmed: Fernhill Jess, Crusing Gino, Warning Sign,
White Jura, Drovers Eclipse and War Horse.
The bookies expect Fernhill Jess to walk away with a comfortable victory today, as she appears to be in very good shape. She will also have the confidence of the punters, who are likely to place a lot of bets in her favour.
The D. Allen’s trainee is a regular in this class, thus she has a lot of experience. Her performances in recent times have also been good, which will make things extremely hard for her opponents in the race.
In her past three races, Fernhill Jess managed to win once. In addition to that, she also secured a runner up and third place finish once, which shows the kind of form she is in at the moment.
The seasoned runner was given a decent starting price of 4 to 1 in her previous outing and she finished runner up in it. She did a decent job, but the disappointing thing was that she failed to come anywhere closer to the race winner. However, she is expected
to deliver a much better show today. She is the daughter of Daves Mentor out of Apache Chief and was born in May 2009.
Looking at the experience of Crusing Gino, the bookmakers have awarded him with pretty decent odds. He has been doing a decent job over the past few months, but has not managed to finish on top of the table for quite some time. He will need a solid run in
order to break the shackles today.
The J. Mullins’ trainee is the son of Hondo Black out of Cruising Olive and was born in December 2008.
