Fernhill Jess likely to dominate proceedings in Bookmakers Dash
Fernhill Jess is expected to dominate the proceedings in the Bookmakers Dash at Henlow in England on Thursday, May 10, 2012. A cash prize of £150 has been set for the winner of the Grade OR event.
The distance to cover for the runners will be 277 metres, which means that stamina will not matter much and it will be all about speed at the end of the day. The action at Henlow will start at 19:45 GMT and following entries have been confirmed for the race: Fernhill Jess, High Noon, Funny Lari, Blissful Daisy, Killerk Sammy and Society Bolt.
The bookies are pretty much certain that Fernhill Jess will walk away with a comfortable victory today, as she has been in spectacular form over the past few months. She is known for her good starts, which will encourage the punters to place the maximum number of bets in her favour.
The D. Allen’s trainee has won a couple of times out of her past four outings, which shows the kind of form she is in at the moment. She can be lightning fast in the shorter distance races, which gives no chance to her rivals to compete against her.
In her most recent run, Fernhill Jess was absolutely dominant right from the start until the end. She started as the favourite and was quickly out of the blocks, taking lead in the beginning. No one was able to come anywhere closer to her, as she ended up on top by a clear margin of four and a half lengths.
Today’s favourite b***h is the daughter of Daves Mentor out of Apache Chief and was born in May 2009.
Although Fernhill Jess is in excellent shape at the moment, the bookies believe that High Noon has the ability to spring up a surprise in the race at Henlow. He is a quality performer and is carrying very good momentum with him.
The P. Dolby’s trained hound did well in a solo run at Henlow and his performances prior to that were also impressive. He is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Tahiti Pearl and was born in June 2009.
The real battle will be between the top two favourites today whereas the rest of the runners are expected to struggle.
