Fernhill Jess tough to contain in Greyhound Data Dash - Div A at Coventry
D. Allen’s 3-year-old, Fernhill Jess, is a likable sort, and will be very hard to beat if trapping on terms in the Greyhound Data Dash - Div A, to be hosted by Coventry on Sunday, September 23, 2012.
Her recent record is full of impressive things. She started off this month with a couple of fascinating performances at Romford. After bagging a comprehensive 7½-length win, she secured the runner-up place in a tough competition on September 12th.
After conquering Romford, Fernhill Jess’ next objective was to do equally well at Yarmouth. The conditions were completely different, so do the opponents. Yet, the white, blue and brindle b***h maintained the standards, and clinched two consecutive triumphs.
She proved too good for her rivals in mid September, when capturing the first rank by one and a half lengths. Another short-distance success came to her way last week, when she kept her head in front despite a lot of mess early in the race.
The dashing b***h retained her advantage all the way through, finishing on top of the table by 1¾ lengths. She has many fine performances under her belt, and will be full of spirit today.
Among her rivals are: Glenbane Air, Bandyandy, Drumcrow Dusty, Farloe Gent and Lodgeview Rikijo. The 263 metres race is scheduled to get underway at 19:30 GMT. It carries a handy cash prize of £200.
Bandyandy recently made a promising start to career. The draw is a huge plus for him. So, the brindle and white dog seems to have decent chances.
No one can pick any holes in Glenbane Air’s recent performances. He is likely to run another good race here. On the other hand, it is hard to see Lodgeview Rikijo giving this line-up any trouble.
Farloe Gent, the local hound, may have to wait for a better opportunity. As far as Drumcrow Dusty’s chances are concerned, nothing less than the best exit will suffice.
Glenbane Air and Bandyandy are surely two tough fellows. But if Fernhill Jess takes a good start, it will be her race all the way through. We wish the best of luck to all the hounds.
