do both ferns and fungi have sporangia? what other similarities do they have?

Yes, they do both have sporangia, and therefore both reproduce with spores.

Another similarity is that they both can reproduce asexually through fragmentation of their structures that spread under or over the substrate(rhizomes in ferns and hyphae in fungi).
