Ferrari aim competitive results in 2012 Italian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Ferrari team principal, Stefano Domenicali has said that they are keenly looking forward to attain competitive results in their home race which is to be held at Autodromo de Monza this weekend.
Domenicali said that the Italian Grand Prix is very special for them and they are aiming to deliver their best at Monza. Moreover, he said that the points which they will score in Italy will be of great importance for the team.
“It is indeed a special race for us,” said Domenicali. “There is a special feeling for our home race, but reality is that number of points on offer are same as at other 19 rounds, all around the world. To sum it up, I would like to think we can leave Monza
having scored very special points at what is very special race for us.”
In addition, he said that they are busy in making the necessary preparations and are trying their best to meet the requirements of the low downforce which is one of the unique features of the track of the forthcoming race. Furthermore, he said that they
are expecting a tough fight with their contenders who will surely be coming up stronger in the race ahead.
“All teams, including ourselves, will run cars in one-off specification to meet very low downforce requirements that are unique to this track and we know several of our rivals are very competitive at this type of circuit,” he added.
Besides, he said that they are feeling extremely pleasant and are hoping to see the love and support of their fans in the upcoming race. He also said that although he can’t make any kind of projections about the season ahead, nevertheless, he asserted that
they are eager to achieve good results in the approaching race.
It will be important to mention that the Scarlet team earnestly need to make some crucial developments in their car which is not competent enough as compared to their rivals who had quite successful pre-season testing programmes this year.
Above and beyond, it will be thrilling to witness how the Italian team perform in their home race.
