Ferrari driver Felipe Massa aims for victory in 2013 Chinese GP – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said that he is aiming to claim victory in the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix after attaining competitive results in the first two races
of the season.
Massa struggled a lot with his pace during the start of 2012 and failed to attain good results for his team. Nevertheless, he performed convincingly well during
the second half of the second after the Mugello test and managed to score some competitive points with consistency.
As compared to the preceding season, the Brazilian driver has taken a tremendous start in this year. In the season opener at Albert Park in Melbourne, he secured
an impressive fourth place finish after setting off from the same grid position. Later, in the second round at Sepang International Circuit, he came fifth after taking a start from second grid slot.
The 31-year-old has said that he is satisfied with his results in the first two grands prix. Furthermore, he said that they have managed to develop a very good
car during the winter.
Besides, he expressed that their car, F138 has much more potential than they have been able to unleash in the season so far. Moreover, he asserted that although
he has not been able to score a victory in the first two rounds of the season, but he is positively looking forward to achieve better results in the next race which is going to be held at Shanghai International Circuit in China on April 14.
“I know we have only done two races, but I have good feeling so far this season,” Massa said. “The work we did with F138 over winter has taken us in right direction
and car has much more potential. Of course, I always want to be fighting for win, although that did not work out in first two races, but signs were good with excellent race pace and now we have to keep moving forward race by race.”
“The aim is to fight for a lot more points, for a podium, for a win even, because you have to set yourself high targets,” he added.
