Ferrari driver Felipe Massa feels positive about 2013 car – Formula 1 news
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said that he is feeling very positive about their 2013 car and is aiming to attain competitive results in this year’s championship.
Massa struggled a lot during the first few races of 2012 and failed to score good points for his team. Besides, he faced immense criticism over his poor form and was surrounded by many speculations that the Scarlet team might replace him with another driver
in 2013. However, he received full support from his team principal, Stefano Domenicali who said that they are ready to provide everything to their driver which can improve his performance.
The Brazilian driver made a striking comeback after the Mugello test and delivered some remarkable performances for his team. Furthermore, he drove really well alongside his teammate, Fernando Alonso during the last few races and helped the Spaniard in attaining
better results in a couple of grands prix.
The Italian squad have recently unveiled their car for this season and Massa has expressed his full confidence in F138.
“It's always a good feeling - the first feeling to see the car,” Massa said. “I've had many presentations already in my career from Ferrari. I've some feelings that were not very positive in a few years, to see the car for the first time. Other years, it
was very positive.”
Moreover, he said that this year’s car is more competent as compared to the preceding one and they are looking forward to work hard during the winter testing in order to come up stronger right from the start of this season.
“I have to say that this is a very positive feeling. Maybe it's just my personal feeling but I think it was nice to see the car,” he added. “The car is much more prepared. You have some interesting details around the car that can work, that can be nice on
the track.”
It will be important to note that Ferrari faced a lot of difficulties during the last year’s pre-season testing programme. Let’s see how they show up after this year’s pre-season testing and whether they will be able to beat their main rivals or not.
