Ferrari driver Felipe Massa says Trofeo Linea is very interesting to drive – Formula 1 news
Formula 1 Ferrari driver Felipe Massa participated in the Brazilian Racing festival recently where he spent his time in the Touring cars.
He stated that for him the Trofeo Linea is very interesting to drive, as he enjoyed a lot during the fourth round of the 2011 Trofeo Linea season.
The Brazilian also mentioned that starting his career in Trofeo Linea will be a good option for him when he decides to leave Formula 1 sport.
Massa commented, “I had a lot of fun today. It's been ten years since I last drove a Touring car, dating back to 2001 when I raced an Alfa Romeo 155, so I thought I might struggle a bit, so sixth best time in the second session is not that bad.”
The 30-year-old driver went on to mention, “I could have been quicker but I hit the chicane when I went out on new tyres, which damaged the front suspension, so the steering felt very heavy. I have to say the Trofeo Linea is very interesting to drive: it's stable and the sequential change works very well.”
Massa is still unable to finish a race on the podium in the 2011 F1 season. In the Hungarian Grand Prix, he came at the sixth place in the final race classifications after starting from the fourth place on the opening grid.
The Maranello-based outfit driver is sitting at the sixth place, 70 points behind McLaren’s Jenson Button in the 2011 drivers’ championship at the moment.
On the other hand, MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo has recently confirmed that he will take part in Massa's Karting event, which will be held in December 2011. Massa said that they have received an ‘ok’ from Lorenzo for the end-of-season Kart racing.
The Ferrari driver revealed about the Karting event that young Formula 1 drivers, which included Adrian Sutil, Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado, can also take part in Kart racing, as it could help them in their F1 careers.
Let’s see whether the rookie F1 drivers take part in the Karting event in the month of December or not.
