Ferrari drops some vital drivers from its academy
Almost all of the top running teams have an academy or platform that encourages and helps young drivers to drive and perform at their best and learn from some of the best in the sport in order to achieve the best results. Many drivers come from these academies
and most of them become the best the sport has to offer. Lewis Hamilton used to be a part of McLaren’s young driver’s academy and he scored the 2008 world championship just in his second year in the sport.
These academies are supposed to help these drivers and enable them to understand the machinery and physics of the cars before they enter the sport professionally. Ferrari has one of the best academies the sport has to offer and launched a new project which
is known as the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA).
It was recently announced that the academy dropped two of its most vital drivers Daniel Zampieri and Mirko Bortolotti after supporting the two for a year during the driver development programme.
The FDA was launched this year in order to help their young supporters and drivers to learn everything they need to learn about the sport as they get to work alongside the best mechanics and drivers. The academy mostly focuses on mental and physical preparation
and the program usually helps some of the best youngsters in the motorsports industry.
Zampieri became the F3 champion last year but he was unable to impress his followers this year as he finished in 9th place in Formula Renault 3.5.
Many drivers namely Sergio Perez, Jules Bianchi, Brandon Maisano and Karter Lance Stroll are also a part of the FDA.
It would be interesting to see how the drivers train their drivers and since Sergio Perez will be a part of Formula 1 next season, many critics are going to keep an eye on him and check how the drivers perceive Formula 1.
