Question:

Ferrari pulling the strings yet again ?

First of all i want to say well done to Massa he deserved to win as he was the fastest driver all day.

Now i just want to ask what you all think of the decisions Ferrari constantly seems to get going their way.

Lets start with the grid positions, Because Massa gets pole he gets to go on the clean side of the grid even though thats not how it was set up when they first arrived in Valencia, Who's to say Lewis Hamilton didnt delibrately put in more fuel so he could safely get P2 because its the cleaner side.

Q. Why didnt they change it before qualifying ?

A. Because they wanted to see if a Ferrari got P1 first.

Secondly - Unsafe release from pits.

Q. Why are they reviewing it after the race ?

A. Because they want to see what penalty they can enforce that doesnt cost Massa the race victory.

Here's what will happen. Because Hamilton finished under 10 seconds behind Massa, Massa will get a 10 place grid drop in the next race.

However if Hamilton had finished say 11 seconds behind Massa, Massa would have recieved a 10 second penalty and still claimed the win.

Or the most likely outcome (NO PENALTY FOR FERRARI)

I just wonder what would have happened had this been other teams involved and not Ferrari.

I do think Massa deserved to win but rules are rules and they should apply to everyone!

  1. The moving of the grid slot isn't a Ferrari bias thing its the right way to do it even tho i would have loved Hamilton on the clean side but its the way it goes pole position person should get the advantage

For the pit-stop we cant say nout at the moment even tho he should of had a drive through but will will have to wait and see

As a Mclaren fan i would rather Massa had a grid penalty for spa then Massa having a time deduction but saying that who am i kidding there wont get a penalty even tho all cars under investigation gets penalised

Just hoping now the race Stewart's arnt biased

Julian - do you class racing a car in the pitlane side by side so near to where it goes norrow safe?

as a driver you dont Race a driver when there was no need Massa had it in the bag and rules are rules unsafe pitstop = punishment

  2. Q1. Pole should mean pole, the grippier part of the track ( racing line) should be where 1st starts, like every other GP, new track, microscopic issue.

Q2. There was no accident, it was an error by someone letting Massa go, nothing to do with the race result. The pit lane is classed as part of the race track.

Ferrari should get no penalty as there was no real problem, every race 2 cars are side by side in the pits at some stage.

If a fine, a cash fine to the track for not observing what going on around them.

  3. Well of course they have to wait till the race is finished as Ferrari has to tell them exactly what to do.Its quite sickening really.

  4. Yeah, It does seem rather fishy that when the majority of teams (I won't say on all occasions either) do something of a similar ilk, the penalty is sure and fair, but not for Ferrari. Over the years with controversy ripe on many of Ferrari's actions, the FIA has given smaller penalties or looked the other way, allowing Ferrari to bounce back quickly without any stress.

I personally feel that there is a pro-Ferrari level of bias amongst the FIA stewards. I wouldn't like to guess for what reason, be it personal choice or fiscal in some way.

For sure though, there's no level of bias so blatant in various other motorsport groups such as the ACO or MSA.

  5. I am so angry that they're waiting til after the race to decide what to do. If that was any other team then it would have been an instant stop and go or drive through. I'm so sick of Ferrari's constant special treatment.

At first I felt a bit bad for Massa if he had gotten a penalty because of his team releasing him early but after his arrogant words in the press conference about how Sutil should have moved out of his way because he was leading was unbelievable!! What a prick!!!

EDIT: It's irrelevent that there was no accident because Ferrari still broke the rules as they released their car when it was not safe to do so. Just because they didn't crash doesn't mean that Ferrari were ok to let Massa go.

  6. they cant upset Massa at the moment as his mum is there & would sort them out!!!  Does seem a little biased against Hamilton. probably because they dont feel that Mclaren has been penalised enough yet for 2007.  Either the above or the stewards new cars come in red & only cost them about the same as a 5 year old fiat
