Ferrari’s Stefano Domenicali: Massa did a great job in Canadian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has admitted that the team driver Felipe Massa did a great job in the recently held Canadian Grand Prix, as he finished his race in the sixth spot for the team.
Domenicali also said that Massa must keep up his good form in the remainder of the 2011 Formula 1 season, as he took a positive step towards Ferrari success in the ongoing season in Montreal.
The Brazilian made an impressive start in the Canadian Grand Prix as he successfully completed his Friday practice sessions on the grid among the other strong contenders. Massa had a very strong qualifying round in Montreal, where he secured his third place
for the race day.
He took part in the Canadian race with hopes of achieving a podium position. However, he could not do much for his team until the end of the race and finished his race at the sixth place.
The team principal added, “That is what we want to see from Felipe. It's why I'm always pushing when we have difficult moments, saying that we need to deliver because we believe in him. That is what I want to see from him from now up until the end of the
season. It's very important for him, but also for the team.”
Apart from that, Ferrari’s other driver Fernando Alonso had his best qualifying session of this season in Montreal recently, where he secured a second place for the Canadian Grand Prix. However, the race day proved as unlucky for him, as he retired from
the race and could not score points for his team due to that.
Alonso said, “I've never been that lucky in this race, especially last year. But I always believe luck and bad luck balance out by the end of the season and maybe this unwritten rule also applies to race tracks. If that's the case, I would be more than happy
if last year's misfortune was paid back now.”
After a disappointing Montreal race weekend due to Alonso’s retirement, the team is hoping for a successful time in the upcoming European Grand Prix, which is scheduled to be held on June 26, 2011 at the Valencia Street Circuit.
