  1. go to wal mart or even a thrift store and find a a children's plastic toy box, and fill it half way with rice or dry beans,

  2. I love the answer with plastic easter eggs... I think the worst part of dealing with a situation like this, is dealing with the impact on your decor.  I don't know what your taste is, but if you can get crazy, try something cute from the kids dept at Target.  For example a kiddie pool that might be on sale by now, or some cute toy box with no lid.  Consider something plastic of a more substantial size than a food item like rice or beans.  Also, this will help with pests.  Check in the dollar sections of Dept stores for party items or things ferrets can't swallow.

  3. i used to have a ferret and i filled a plastic easter egg with some food for the ferret and it tried opening it and it tons of fun but also my ferrets cage it had a bottum of the cage and down there i put a little bit of riceand som beans and also just a little bit of  bedding for ferrets it accully works pretty good

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  4. Just use any old plastic bin with a cover. Cut a whole in the top large enough for the ferret to crawl through. And Fill it with Rice :] Just as said above. My ferret loves it. IT's hilarious.

  5. Don't use styrofoam packing peanuts because they can give your ferret an intestinal blockage if they try to eat it!

You can use regular long grain cooking rice and if they eat it, it will just pass through their system. Do NOT use minute rice, since it may swell after they have eaten it.

Clean shredded paper also works as long as it has no ink on it.

    Plastic Easter eggs.

    Dried beans.

If you have a large box you can fill it with plastic ball pit balls. I've heard they have them at Toys R Us for about $10.

    Good luck!
