Sadly there are no reputable ferret breeders in Toronto, ON. There are many backyard breeders however I would strongly advise against purchasing a ferret from one for the obvious reasons.

I would recommend contacting The Ferret Aid Society (www.ferretaid.org) should you decide to adopt a ferret and wish either to rescue one or want contact information for a reputable breeder in the USA (the closest place).

I am not sure if Mischief Makers had a 2008 breeding season but they are probably the closest reputable breeder as they are located in Michigan. http://www.mischiefmakerferrets.com/

Bringing a ferret across the border is simple and only requires a health certificate and proof of vaccinations. I personally made the trip to Ohio this year to adopt one from a breeder I know and trust, all my others came to me in one way or another from Ferret Aid.

There is a list of Ferret Breeders on this site, it's maintained by the owner of Novel Beginnings Ferretry and sending them a quick email could probably point you in the right direction if you are looking for any further information on a particular breeder.

Finally remember breeding season is pretty much over, no reputable breeder will have kits being born in the winter so if you are hoping to purchase a kit for this season it's best to act very fast.
