  1. thanks now im level 2 lmao

  2. when the ferret bites you say NO sternly grab it by the scruff of the neck (loose fur and skin on back of neck) and let her body hang down (this does not hurt them at all) and shake her VERY lightly. That's what their mother would do when they did something bad, you could also drag her along the floor by the scruff of her neck but she might think that's play.

Just make sure you do that right after she bites you.

As for the cage thing, try making a little ramp up to the cage so it's not so steep for them. You could try guiding her into the cage by holding a treat or somehting they really like.

    Hope this helped!

  3. They're still only babies. They're play nipping at the mo. It may be your smell. They love soap and will try and nip if they can smell it on you. Try rubbing your hands in their bedding and over them to get their scent. She may never grow out of it.  I have 2 castrated 12month old hobs. The one has never tried to bite me but he lunges at my mom and will bite her. I've even put my hand on hers and he knows who's hand is who's and will bite her. Even if I hold him and she stokes him he'll try and get her.

It's probably because she never corrected him when he was younger. It can be scary when you've got teeth flying at you lol. If the other one ever nipped me I would hold him up and tap him on his nose  and say ' No Biting'. or hold him by the scruff of his neck and drag him along the floor and again say ' No biting',  plus I used the 'puppy stop chew' spray on my hands. I had mine at 7 weeks and the hard biting had stopped buy 3months old, they still play bit but know how hard they were allowed to bite. Also use ferretone. It'll teach them to l**k you hand. Ferrets go mad for it. If when she starts biting put her in a carry box for time out. She will hate being put away while the other one is out playing, she should soon learn that biting means no playtime.

As for trainging them to go back into they cage, use ferretone. You'll find this on ebay. Get a squeeky toy and every time you want them to go into their cage, lead them in with the ferretone or ferretvite while at the same time squeeking the toy. Then gradually just give them the ferretone while they're in the cage. Over time they will learn that the squeek will mean 'Ferretone' and no matter where they are they'll come running.

  4. They bite to play.  That's how they play with each other.  But, human skin is not as thick as ferret skin, so they don't know that it hurts you.

The way I trained my ferrets to not bite so hard was to give them a little pop on the head with my index finger when they bit too hard.  They soon learned to not bite humans so hard.

They will not go back in their cage on their own because they like outside the cage better.  They like to be cozy, so put a towel in the cage.

You can also potty train them to go in the cage on their own.  Since they like being out of the cage so much, when they p**p outside of the cage, bring them to the p**p.  Yell "NO", then lock them in the cage for awhile.

I had 2 ferrets.  One caught on before the other and actually chased the slower learner into the cage when he saw him about to p**p on the floor.  He knew that if one of them pooped outside of the cage, then they were both going back in the cage.
