Ferrets again.Please answer need help.?

Now I know why ferrets are illigal in california.But IF i bought a ferret from somewhere that's legal and bring it to Californina,can I keep it?or does the state have to take it away or something?

they are illegal!!  DO NOT TAKE A FERRET INTO CACALAND!!  you will be stopped at secuity sites and if caught--they will-if you are lucky-send your ferret to a ferret free state and you will be heavily fined!!  if you are not lucky that there is a ferret person for them to call--you ferret will be shot and handed back to you!

If you get a ferret in some place legal and bring it to California, it's still illegal. The law hasn't changed.

You could keep the ferret a secret. I mean, it's not like the state police are going to randomly knock on your door looking for ferrets. However, it's still risky. If you were found with ferrets, I'm not sure what the consequences would be. You may get a fine and have to rehome your ferret in another state, or they may take it away from you and do something with it.

Ferrets can be great pets. There ARE people who have them in California. However, it's probably just best not to get one if it's illegal. You could move to a neighboring state that does not prohibit ferrets, if you could and wanted ferrets badly enough.
