any ideas

i was mabe thinking of something nova scotia and newfoundland have in common.

They will most likely want something non-controversial and also non-threatening.  Personally I think something like "Back to the Rock" would be great.  Many ferries are named after famous Canadians so I would also like something like the Pierre Elliott Trudeau.  I would suggest the Terry Fox but I think there is already a Canadian vessel by that name.
