  1. Yes you will feel the motion.  As for sickness it's all down to the individual.  We all have a frequency at which we feel nausea.  I'm luck not to have found mine yet.

  2. Lilly Allen makes me sick babe,  you'll be fine.

  3. this time of year the sea is generally calm so you'll be fine. i just got back from Holland last week via a ferry and the north sea was pan flat you couldn't feel a thing ..................:)

  4. buy some sea legs anti sickness pills.

    Have Fun :)

  5. I enjoy boat trips, especially when it gets slightly choppy but then everyone is different. I know people who start feeling ill just thinking about going on a ferry.

If its an overnight ferry though, they tend to travel a lot slower than the daytime ones so you may not feel it as much.

  6. Depends where you are going to....overnight.....if from UK then it could be over the North Sea, so yes it can be a rough crossing or over the Channel which is less likely to be rough,...depends on the sea state....check the weather forecast....if you are not used to it, then maybe best to get some seasick pills, but beware they knock you out....so get a cabin or a seat to sleep in.

  7. hey are fun  thats how people in ny used to get around to work and stuff back in te day    i love ferrys

  8. If the sea is calm at night you’ll be fine.

Maybe don’t drink too much though?

    If the sea is rough????????

Oh golly gosh yes you could very easily feel sick.

Long story short here, in a previous life we missed a flight to Lesbos.

Flew to Athens and got a ferry to the island.

All day ferry trip in BIG sea. The only way I could keep my stomach down was to stand as far forward and as high up as we could get in the public areas.

We stood just in front of and below where to Captain steered from, the bridge I guess.

Holding on to a hand rail looking forward I could see the sea and what was coming next (an up or a down) we got lots of fresh air and very wet.

It was fun and the breakfast stayed in.

Whatever I hope you have a fun trip.

  9. Depends on how rough/calm the seas are, which is weather dependant.

You won't know if you suffer from motion sickness until you're on the ferry.

  10. Not really , i went on a 6 hour ferry from Portsmoth to Canne and it was fine , go online and check what the sea is going to be  like (rough etc.) and if its rough then if your worried just buy some travel sickness pills and take them 20 mins before you get on the ferry but normally you can't feel anything
