Ferryforth Paul likely to prevail in Spring Standard Dup at Henlow
Ferryforth Paul is in superb form and has a great chance of winning the Spring Standard Dup, being held at Henlow on Thursday, June 14th. The black dog won four of his previous five races and there is no reason why he should not have a big run
tonight.
After a few fantastic efforts at the A2 level, K. Cobbold’s charge stepped up to the open level. He continued his sublime form and registered two emphatic wins last month.
In his last outing, Droopys Scolari’s son was super impressive. Despite not being the most preferred hound, he showed no laziness and maintained the highest standards till the finishing line.
As a result of a fine work, the maverick hound managed to grab the first place by 1¾ lengths. He has built up a solid sequence of good figures and will be a major player in today’s event.
Among his opponents are: Rayvin Again, Westmead Apollo, Savana Ruby, Crossfield Jet and Pennys Midas. The 460 metres flat race will be started at 20:58 (GMT). The successful runner will receive a purse worth £150.
While Ferryforth Paul is determined to perpetuate his good work, Rayvin Again is aiming to put his campaign back on the winning ways. The black dog has been struggling since winning an open race on May 10th.
He enjoyed mixed fortunes in the recent weeks. After finishing second behind Ferryforth Paul, S. Cahill’s trainee completely lost his rhythm and as a result, ended up fifth last time. After getting bumped at the first bend, he was in no position to do any
damage.
Westmead Apollo is another quality runner. Prior to his embarrassing defeat at the hands of Jazz Apollo, the blue dog won a 550 metres race with ridiculous ease. He will be a dangerous individual if everything clicks.
Savana Ruby was impressive in her last two appearances at Henlow. Yet, the black b***h cannot be trusted, since she is coming into this race after completing the order of finish at Monmore.
Pennys Midas cannot afford to miss the kick flanked by pace. Crossfield Jet must make an early impression, otherwise his chances will evaporate.
Rayvin Again and Westmead Apollo have been declared joint favourites, but according to our predictions, Ferryforth Paul will be able to outpace his rivals. Good luck to all runners.
