My fertile days this month are 2nd-6. Does that mean I O on the 4th? This may sound strange but my breast have been very sore...actually my whole body is and I feel like I'm dragging through the day with a lump in the back of my throat, about to make me get sick! If I O on the 2nd could I have preg. symptoms this early?

I do remember cramping alot on the 3rd and lots of discharge for the past week. My cervix is still high and have watery white discharge now.

My periods are very irregular so Im not pos. when I O.

  1. Ideally, you ovulate at the end of your fertile phase.

Generally speaking, a woman has EWCM for a few days just before ovulation.  When she's producing EWCM is the time to do the baby dance as 'his' guys will survive best in this medium.  As ovulation approaches, the EWCM dries up.  Once you ovulate, you only have about 12 hours to concieve before egg begins to deteriate and die.  So ideally, you want to have already done the baby dance BEFORE you 'O', because if you've already Oed, it's likely too late.

  2. I've heard of women having pregnancy symptoms the day after conception, but it's unlikely. Even if you ovulated on the 2nd, most likely implantation wouldn't have even happened yet, so there shouldn't be enough hcg in your system yet to cause symptoms.

Do you use OPK's? I have irregular periods & have found them to be very useful. My cycles used to be 45 days long & I would use the Answer brand OPK's that come with 20 test strips for $20 - the best deal I could find - & I conceived on my second cycle using them. It sounds like you have a good grasp of the physical signs of ovulation, though. If I were you, I would continue to bd since you're still having signs of ovulation now. Like the first answer says, once you have ovulated, your cm will dry up & your cervix will be low.

Good luck & I hope this is your month!
