This is my first month using the clearblue fertility monitor and i am now on day 20- but still showing low fertility? I have a 30/31 day cycle so am concerned that i should have ovulated by now? Usually i do the ovulation calculators on the net and they say i should have ovulated on Thursday? I know that i may ovulate later than expected but would have thought that would have been around now? Please help, I'm worried that I'm not ovulating?!! xx

  1. You may have missed your ovulation date if you have a cycle of 30/31 days you should ovulate 14 days before that start of your next period which would be day 16-17 but then again some women do ovulate every month or it could be the test that is wrong try not to worry to much about it and try again next month.

    Good luck

  2. I had that with clear blue, and it turned out that i was wee-ing on the wrong side of the stick.

I know it sounds daft, but for ages the monitor stayed on low yet several blood tests by the doctor showed I had ovulated each time.

If you look at the sticks, specifically the bit you wee on, one side is plastic and shiny, the other is matt and absorbent (sp?).  Once I started checking the side first, then peeing on the absorbent side only, the monitor worked properly and showing low, high and peak.

To be on the safe side, go get a blood test from your doctor to check you have ovulated.  If you haven't, then ovulation may have been delayed - have you had a lot on this month?  Some extra stress?

But chances are, you're weeing on the wrong side of the stick.

It's barmy - you'd think they'd tell you this on the packet. Good luck luvvy xx
