Question:

Fertility problems for years now

About 6 years ago, I went to the dr. and they said that I don't ovulate after me taking a week of the ovulation tests. She never did anything to help me ovulate, but I always got my period. Recently I started charting my temp and bought another ovulation test, it says that I have been ovulating for the past three days. I have also gained about 10lbs. Is this normal or do you believe that I could be pregnant? My temp has stayed normal.

  1. take a home test.

    u could adopt.

  2. You temp will go up about 4/10 of a degree after you ovulate because of a hormone that is released after ovulation

  3. How can we know if your pregnant or not?? If you think your pregnant just take a test... Sorry.... but how hard can that be??

  4. just be carefull

  5. The only thing you can do is wait a while and take a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, then best of luck to you! If you are not, keep trying and in the meantime, perhaps you could consider adopting. There are a lot of children in this world who need parents. If you adopt keep in mind you might one day still have a child of your own. Good luck!

  6. Sounds like you've ovulated...only time will tell if you're pregnant though.

My friend was told at 23 that she'd never have children. Ever. She went to a specialist for 3 years.  Marriage ended in divorce over it.  She's now pregnant with her SECOND child with no intervention from doctors or specialists..  Never give up hope.

  7. If you think you may be pregnant then only a pregnancy test can give you the answer.

After so many years of not being able to get pregnant, an infertility can do some tests and quickly tell you what the problem could be.

Does he have enough sperm (do a sperm count!)

Are your tubes open (do a hysterosalpingogram)

Do you ovulate (do a progesterone blood test 1 week after ovulation)

Once you have the answer then you can get treated appropriately
