  1. You know, Im a firm believer in the power of the mind, so if those statues help you feel positive and help you to believe you will fall pregnant, then I would get one!!

Its so hard to stay positive and willing when things dont seem to go your way when TTC, so I would suggest anything that helps you relax and believe it will happen, is worth it. Dont stop believing!

Think positive thoughts everyday, and especially around the time you ovulate. Think of your body releasing an egg, after s*x, think of that egg being fertilised and implanting. Everything will be fine!

Good luck to you, stay strong and you will succeed!!

  2. umm no, sorry.  they are just statues, and there's no way they can help you get pregnant.  get an OPK a basal thermometer, check your CM, and get on fertilityfriend.com and put in your cycles and temperatures to find out when youre ovulating.  thats the best thing to do.  good luck!

  3. Ripley's Believe it or Not has fertility statues that hundreds of women have sworn by.  They've also been featured on TV, because of how amazing the stories are.  If you google them, you'll find all kinds of stories from women you couldn't get pregnant with IVF, women on birth control, etc. getting pregnant after touching them.  They are currently in storage, but they tour the country and world frequently. Hopefully, they'll go on tour again soon.  I'm TTC too and waiting for them to be displayed again.   Certainly can't hurt...especially not more than all the IUIs, meds, injections, etc I've already tried.

  4. There is a great book that will tell you all you need to know about how to figure out the best time to have s*x to get pregnant (it may not be when you think!!)  It is called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"  It looks really long, but most of it is case specific so you just need to read the first few chapters and maybe a couple later in the book!

  5. Yes, the Willendorf statue is the oldest known fertility statue.  I see no problem with getting a fertility statue unless maybe you are a conservative christian.  Do they work?  Does a cross work? Only you can decide that.  They are merely meant to help you focus your attention and energies on - not venerated.
