Festivals in Barcelona?

Hi I found these 2 festivals in Barcelona which are at the end of August:-

Festa Major in Sitges & The Festa Major in Vilafranca del Penedès

Which of these is the best to see and which day is the best to go on?

I don't know about these, but if you can get there in September, this one is fantastic. festa de la merce.  I happened to be in BCN for this event-there were perfomances all over the place, great fireworks, and concerts til 3am!  Here's a website, but google it and see if you can find more info on the best dates to go.

Hi Melly. First of all, these festivals are not in Barcelona. They are in villages located between 30 to 50 minutes by train. I've never been to any of those but don't expect big events because both take place in small villages. Anyway you should be able to see typical features of the catalan festivities like els castellers:

or typical dances and other stuff. You can check that on youtube by "festa major sitges"

I didnt find any website about sitges.
