i am 37 weeks 2 days pregnant and i count my babys movements everyday.i usually get 10 in an hour or faster.today i have only felt her move around 5 times since i woke up at 8. i have drank a huge glass of orange juice and ate a brownie but still nothing.should i just keep an eye out for movements and call the doctor in the morning or should i go to the hospital later this evening if still no movement? i dont want to be the crazy pregnant woman up there who is freaking out,lol...in my last pregnancy they told me to drink a big glass of orange juice and lay on my left side which should make her more active.i did this and layed for over 30 minutes but no movement...

  1. If it will make you feel better, there's no shame in being the crazy pregnant woman :) Do what your gut feelings are telling you. If you honestly think there could be something wrong, and can't call your doctor, you may want to find an after-hours clinic or just go ahead to the hospital later on. good luck!

  2. I would call your Ob just to be safe.  He can have you go to labor and delivery for a non stress test

  3. I would call your doctor.  They are probably used to this.  Better to be reassured than worried.

  4. im nearly 35 weeks and i have days when my babys nuts in me - kicks 10 times in the space of 10 minutes! - and other days when i only feel her couple of times throughout the entire day! it differs!  some days they have lazy days where they sleep and grow, and other days they are active and are strengthening their bodies stretching/kicking and so forth

dont panic - as long as you feel her every day thers nothing to worry about

yesterday i felt her move at least 25 times - today ive felt her about 3 times - but its nothing to worry about, shes still there - shes jsut sleeping and growing today ..

as you said your feeling him/her moving - 5 times already today you said! my midwife said as long as you feel them daily then theyre obviously alive and kicking =) dont panic!
