i woke up yesterday with a fever blister. i iced for about twenty minutes, and today it's a little bit better. however, when i woke up this morning my lymphnoid underneath my chin is swollen just a little bit (this has happened to me before and i just waited 1-2 weeks for it to go away) and i feel kind of under the weather and really tired even though i slept twelve hours the past few nights. does anyone know what kind of bug i may have and any simple ways to speed up the healing?

  1. Lymph nodes swell in response to infection, usually near the lymph node in question.

Fever blisters are usually caused by viral infections, but may become secondarily infected with bacteria.

It is likely a virus...I have no idea which one, though you may have mono, which is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus.

If you are worried, or feeling very sick or feverish, perhaps you should see a doctor instead of asking random strangers on the internet.
