See,my usb is actually an mp4 player.I have lots of music and personal photos in there. When the virus was discovered, all my folders were turned to an .exe file format. So my anti-virus removed them. Now i cant access any folders or music through the computer. But,it consumes the spaces of the files that were in the folders(which turned to .exe and were moved). When i start my mp4 player without using my PC,i can access all the files(including the files which were in the folders turned to .exe).I want to move these files to my comp.If i lose the music i don't mind, but i need the pictures because they are of my cousins and my deceased grandma. Please help.

  1. change the extension back to what it was before and see if that helps, so if it was Ne-yo - Closer, call the file Ne-Yo - Closer.mp3 or which ever type of music file it was, it will hopefully play

  2. why cant you open them using your windows media player

    hmm thats wierd
