  1. what king of substrate do you have, and what does it eat?  mine craps once maybe twice a day. try a little bit of banana and a warm bath a day. mine hates it but its helped when she got impacted and i had to get rid of my calcium sand.

GO GET A UV BULB AND SOME CALCIUM, OR SHE WILL DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH. j/k but really she can get a bone deisese and die

  2. BEARDIES NEED UV ALL THERE LIFE

these has been a small number of "success"(cases where they beardies didnt die) stories about beardies being kept without UV, and in america this means that moronic ignorant people (like your pet shop owner) think its ok not to give them UV but ive seen far to many cases of MBD to believe this too be true also almost all herp veterans also are against this new way of thinking since it will almost certainly harm your pet maybe even kill it. u need a 5.0 or a 10.0 UV tube 6inches from the bottom of the viv. beardies can only produce D3 to use calcium properly with the help of a UV bulb there are also loads of other health benefits.

as for the pooing thing 2-3 times a week is slightly off 3-4 is more normal i would check its not impacted

i would like to say its good you've questioned this it shows that your a responseable owner and i hope you enjoy your breadie for years to come

  3. You should have a UV light on when it's day (sun up) and it's off when it's night (sun down).  Only thing that on 24/7 is the heating pad.

My beardie poops almost every second day which is okay.

Yes you should take note of the substrate, if you have sand please change it right away to a carpet or newspaper.  Beardies are very curious and taste everything.  If he ingests too much of this sand (even the ones that claim are good for beardies) compaction can occur and this is lethal for your beardie.

I would not suggest feeding banana as this doesn't help with pooping and it can give problems with calcium absorption.

If your beardie hasn't pooped in a while then don't feed him any more crickets (so as not to complicate or compact further) (but keep fresh greens and fresh water) and give him a bath in luke warm water for about 20 to 30 minutes daily until he poops.  This shouldn't take longer than a day or so.

Otherwise the best advice is to go to a vet for a check up - after all he is qualified.  Good luck!
