this are the questions..and i still dont know the answer to this till now! i did this in the test just now

1) Blood smear is too short..would u increase or decrease the angle of the spreader slide? or other options to is add saline solution together with drop of blood

2) a very low (MCV or HCT or PLT or WBC?) will indicate that one should increase the angle of the spreader slide when making a blood smear.

3)which can be checked(HGB or PLT or both) when a haemolysed blood sample is used?

  1. 1 - decrease the angle, or use a larger droplet. Adding saline? I've never see that done

    2 - HCT  (fewer cells needs a slightly thicker smear, theoretically, but it has to be REALLY REALLY low before you have to compensate)

    3 - Both HGB and platelets
