-what time does kings island open in ohio?

i was wondering..cause my church youth group will be going this summer.

-my group was planning on riding the firehawk first..is that a good idea?

cause i don't want to wait over a hour to ride that ride.

-would it be a good idea to wear cargo shorts?

i want to bring my camera and i don't want to buy a locker if i'm only going to put my camera in it while i'm riding a ride.

-about how much money should i bring?

like for food and souviners..maybe a picture from the rides.

-do they have fast passes like they do in disney..or anything simular to that?

--what rides do you think i should go on first?

i want to ride the most popular ones so i don't have to wait for forever in the mid day out in the heat.

  1. My kids and i went to kings island, they loved it.  they dont have fast passes. The firsthawk is a good idea its a blast.

  2. Most of the summer park operation hours are from 10 am to 10 pm.

Normally you want to get in line for Invertigo or Drop Zone first the lines are very long for these two attractions.  I've gotten in line for FireHawk during the day and have waited around 30 - 45 minutes.

I usually wear caro shorts to hold my cell phone, camera, ect.

If you plan on eating in the park, plan on spending around 10 bucks or more.  Pictures vary by attraction and by what size you are going to buy.  plan on spending around 15 bucks.  Souviners vary in price too, sometimes you can find some great buys!

Kings Island does not have fast passes, if you are a season passholder there are early ride times and some attractions you can ride twice in a row, normally this is on Tuesdays.

I would hit the following rides and in this order:

    Invertigo

    Drop Zone

    Delirium

    FireHawk

    Flight of Fear

    The Crypt

The rest of the rides you shouldn't have to wait very long

  3. 1. Firehawk is going to be a wait no matter what you do. The line grows fast, but is worth the wait. Early is good, so you hit the midway afterwards and work up to the front.

    2. The park hours vary from day to day and week to week. The best advise is check the schedule, most days the park opens at 11:00am.

    3. I wear cargo shorts to parks. As long as the pocket has a restraint such as buttons, snaps, etc.. you should be fine. Many rides will not let you carry the camera if they can see it, and will force you to get the locker.

    4. There is no fast pass they I have seen used.

    5. Head to the back to Beast and Firehawk first. Hit the Action Zone closer to closing to avoid the midday heat. As allways, bring a swimsuit and hit the waterpark for free to beat the heat. The right half of the park is more shaded and cooler, and has some water rides as well.

  4. -Calendar -http://www.pki.com/visit/visit_calendar....

-You should probably ride the most popular ride first, beat the crowds.

    - Just do not lose the camera. Tape it to your hand?

    - Bring more than $30, I have never been to King's Island, but most amusement parks are not cheap, maybe even $50+

    - I do not think they have fast passes, just look at the site, pki.com

-Firehawk, Son Of Beast, Beast are all rides I would want to get on as soon as possible. It depends on the day I guess,.
