how to go to Jones beach by train from colombus circle ?

Where could I found a good swimming pool (someone tells me YMCA, but i don't know witch one ? and someone else tells me in central park ?)

Do you know where i can found the program of "music in the park" ...

My friend, in regard to the Jones Beach, here's how to get there from Columbus Circle.

Step 1: from Columbus Circle, take the downtown (southbound) "A" or "C" subway line (Blue Metro Line) to Penn Station.

Step 2: from Penn Station, which is our version of the Gare de Lyon Station in Paris, take the Long Island Railroad's Babylon Branch (our version of the Transilien and the RER) to Freeport.

Step 3: from the Freeport train station, transfer to bus route N-88 of the Long Island Bus system. Take the bus to the beach.

The fare on the subway (Metro) is $2 each way. On the LIRR, the fare is $7 ($9.25 if you're traveling during peak hours) and the the fare on the Long Island Bus is $2.

You can use you MetroCard on the Metro and the Long Island Bus. For the Long Island Railroad, you will have to buy a ticket before boarding.

In regard to the YMCA, since you're in the Columbus Circle area, there is a YMCA at 5 West 63rd Street, at the corner of West 63rd Street and Central Park West.

In regard to Music in the Park performance, there are several performances by the New York Philharmonic and performances by independent band at a concert call Summerstage, which are both held in Central Park. The link below has schedules on both venues.
