Feyenoord Rotterdam 4-0 VVV-Venlo: Ronald Koeman unhappy despite big win – Dutch Eredivisie news

The Dutch mentor revealed that although his side cruised to a 4-0 win, his troops played sloppy football.
“We were sloppy, without trust, no pace, weak positional play and made the wrong choices. That may sound silly when you win 4-0, but that's it”, Koeman was quoted as saying in the media.
The 48-year-old tactician then went on to admit that his side were lucky to be awarded two penalties by the referee.
“Things went our way at the right moments, but I will not further discuss the referee’s performance”, Koeman concluded.
Both sides failed to create any real opportunity in the opening 25 minutes. However, after settling in on the pitch, the home side started to show their class and came close in taking the lead through Jordy Clasie. However, the VVV goalkeeper, Wilko de Vogt,
made a good stop to keep the deadlock intact.
At the half-hour mark, VVV midfielder Brian Linssen fouled in the area and the referee without hesitating awarded a penalty. John Guidetti stepped up to take the spot kick and made no mistake in hitting the bottom left corner of the net.
Venlose Trots were reduced to ten men just before the break, when Ahmed Musaab received his marching orders following a second bookable offence.
