Feyenoord Rotterdam in pole position to sign Anouar Hadouir – Dutch Eredivisie news
Reports in Dutch media suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roda-JC-c40375 ran out last month rendering him a free agent.
The Dutchman has been a part of De Koempels since his arrival at Parkstad Limburg Stadion in the 2007/08 season. Hadaouir has the ability to play both as a striker and an attacking midfielder. For Roda, he made well over 100 appearances, scoring 18 goals
while also providing plenty of assists.
The striker’s contract with De Koempels expired on June 30, 2011. The club management tried to prolong his stay by offering him an extension to his current contract, but the 28-year-old denied signing a contract extension and clearly expressed his desire
to move away from Parkstad Limburg Stadion for pastures greener.
De Stadionclub are in the market for a midfielder to fill in the shoes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven. The Boeren see the 28-year-old as an ideal replacement in the centre of the park.
Furthermore, Martin van Geel, De Stadionclub technical director, knows the midfielder well from his earlier stint with De Koempels and believes that the midfielder has the ability to become a star in the coming years.
Earlier reports suggested that Middlesbrough are also interested in signing the experienced midfielder. However, owing to their financial woes, the English second tier outfit seem to have pulled out of the race to sign the Dutchman.
Although Hadaouir would be available on a Bosman move, his wages would simply be too steep for Boro, making the Rotterdam giants the leading candidate to sign the midfielder.
The veteran midfielder is likely to be pursuing his career at De Kuip Stadion in the upcoming season. Reports suggest that the midfielder would be signing a lucrative contract with the Rotterdam giants in the coming weeks.
