Feyenoord Rotterdam looking to make Otman Bakkal's stay permanent – Dutch Eredivisie news
Feyenoord Rotterdam are reportedly looking to offer http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Otman-Bakkal-c28851 a permanent contract. The Rotterdam giants acquired the 26-year-old’s services on a season-long loan from PSV Eindhoven at the start of the 2011/12 campaign.
Reports from Rotterdam confirm that De Stadionclub technical director, Martin van Geel, is looking to prolong the attacking midfielder’s stay at De Kuip Stadion.
The technical director admitted that the midfielder has thus far performed impressively and has attracted interest from many clubs. He stressed that his side would like to make the 26-year-old’s stay in Rotterdam permanent and revealed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 will
be holding talks with the Eindhoven giants in January.
“He is interesting to many clubs, but also to us. I feel that in Otman's mind, he now lives in Rotterdam. In January we will open talks, but it is clear that we think Bakkal is a player who fits well with Feyenoord”, Van Geel was quoted as saying to the
media.

Bakkal has certainly made an impact since arriving at De Kuip Stadion. He has impressed many in Rotterdam following his good performance in the centre of the pitch, hitting the back of the net twice while providing useful assists in 10 matches.
Van Geel also said that the 26-year-old midfielder fits perfectly in his side’s future plans and revealed that the Dutch ace is a leader.
“Otman fits perfectly in our future plans. He is one of the leaders in our team. If it depended only upon us, we would have signed him permanently in the summer. We are now waiting to hear from Otman that what he thinks about his future”, Van Geel concluded.

Should Feyenoord manage to acquire the 26-year-old’s services permanently for the next couple of seasons, it will certainly enhance their chances of achieving good results in the Dutch top tier in the seasons to come.
