The 25-year-old versatile attacker has reportedly agreed to put pen to paper on a four-year deal at De Kuip Stadion.
Reports confirm that Feyenoord Rotterdam have successfully agreed terms with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lex-Immers-c22181.
The talented player had an ongoing contract at Kyocera Stadion that ran until the summer of 2014, but the Dutchman opted to join the Rotterdam giants. The Rotterdammers have reportedly paid in the region of one-million Euros to
acquire the services of the 25-year-old.
Immers started his professional career at Kyocera Stadion in the 2007/08 season. His impressive debut season, netting nine goals while providing a bagful of assists in 37 Eerste Divisie fixtures, helped his side in earning promotion
to Eredivisie for the following season.
Despite showing a lot of promise in his debut season, the highly-talented midfielder failed to live up to the expectations in the 2008/09 campaign. The midfield ace only managed to hit the back of the net three times while he failed
to set up his team-mates on a single occasion in 29 appearances. His good form further deteriorated in the 2009/10 season, netting only once in 26 appearances.
However, the versatile attacker has been staging blistering performances for the past couple of seasons at Kyocera Stadion. His consistent showings at the centre of the park garnered him interest from a host of European clubs including
the likes of fellow Eredivisie outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar, and English Premier League outfit, Fulham FC.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258, however, were the quickest to table a bid and then agree personal terms with the lanky attacker. The Dutch midfield ace, who donned the jersey of ADO in 140 matches and netted 22 goals along the way, has reportedly agreed
to sign a contract with the Rotterdam giants that will keep him at De Kuip Stadion until the summer of 2016.
The Stadiumclub finished second on the league table in the recently concluded season, and earned UEFA Champions League qualifying round berth. With the arrival of Immers, the fallen Eredivisie giants have certainly strengthened
their midfield department.
However, the club still has to lure a quality striker to De Kuip Stadion in order to enhance their chances of competing in the Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
