Feyenoord Rotterdam midfielder, Georginio Wijnaldum, has performed exceptionally well throughout the season and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede and PSV Eindhoven are reportedly interested in signing the young
midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer market. Furthermore, rumours are rife that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 all are willing to pay to acquire his services in the summer.
However, Wijnaldum has revealed that he is uncertain about where he would be pursuing his career in coming years. The young midfield ace deliberately chose to wait until the end of the season to negotiate with the club management on his ongoing contract
that keeps him at Feijenoord Stadion until the summer of 2012.
“I wanted to first focus on football. Only after the last day, I started thinking about my future.” Wijnaldum said.
De Stadionclub management are looking to offer the 20-year-old a contract extension. Martin van Geel, the outfit from Rotterdam’s technical director, also looking hopeful that his side would be able to hold on to their prized asset for the next couple of
seasons.
The Dutch U-21 International, however, is not certain about his future.
“All that is not certain. Depends on how the negotiations run. Actually, I say just anything. I have no idea when I take a decision. I can right now say nothing about it. I would think of something within a few seconds that is not good. However, decisions
about your future, you should take a long time.” Wijnaldum added.
Twente eye the 20-year-old as an ideal replacement to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Orlando-Engelaar-c28669, who is expected to make
a move away from Netherlands in the upcoming summer transfer market.
The outfit from Rotterdam would certainly like to hold on to their prized asset, but with a host of top clubs looking to add the young midfielder to their ranks, it seems unlikely that Wijnaldum would be pursing his career at Feijenoord Stadion next season.
