Feyenoord Rotterdam’s John Guidetti wishes to win trophies – Dutch Eredivisie news
Feyenoord Rotterdam’s John Guidetti has expressed his ambition and revealed that he wants to win trophies with his new club. The Stadiumclub acquired the 19-year-old’s signature on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City in the recently concluded summer
transfer window.
The young striker has made a goalscoring debut for the Rotterdam giants in the 3-1 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NAC-Breda-c39983 at Rat Verlegh Stadion on Sunday, September 11. Although the youngster was delighted to score in his opening match, he was still far from pleased with his
performance.
“I am not speaking about myself. I scored, okay, but I am a striker so you can expect goals from me. It was altogether a decent debut, but not a very good one. In a good debut, you score more than twice”, Guidetti said while talking to the Dutch media.
The Swedish ace started his career at IF Brommapojkarna in the 2007/08 season. At the end of the campaign, the Citizens acquired the youngster’s services. However, the 19-year-old is yet to make his debut at Etihad Stadium. The striker was loaned to his
former club in the 2010/11 season on a six-month deal and played the rest of the 2010/11 campaign at Burnley.
Guidetti believes that everything is possible in the game of football and reveals that he wants to win trophies at De Kuip Stadion.
“I want to win prizes, and want to reach European football with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258. Why not? Everything is possible in football. Nothing is impossible”, Guidetti added.
The youngster then went on to reveal that he still hasn’t gotten used to the playing atmosphere in Dutch top flight.
“I had to bite my teeth on the pitch. Normally I would say ‘f*** off ref’, which is very common in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. However, the coach has told me that I can get straight red in Netherlands”, Guidetti concluded.
