John Guidetti revealed that he advised the fallen Eredivisie giants to bring the Norwegian ace on a season-long loan deal, and confessed that he also persuaded the 20-year-old to join Ronald Koeman’s side.
Reports from De Kuip Stadion confirm that Feyenoord Rotterdam have successfully acquired the services of young Manchester City forward, Omer Elabdellaoui, on a season-long loan deal.
The Rotterdammers finished second on the Eredivisie table in the 2011/12 season, and much credit goes to John Guidetti, who performed brilliantly during his season-long loan spell at De Kuip Stadion. The Swedish ace netted an impressive
20 goals in 23 appearances.
The Rotterdammers were keen to bring the youngster to another loan spell before the 2012/13 season kicks-off. However, the Swede reportedly advised the Rotterdam giants to lure Elabdellaoui to De Kuip Stadion.

told him it’s a club he could develop perfect. Look at me, I had a year to never forget”, Guidetti was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The Norwegian ace, who will have a medical at the Eredivisie outfit on Friday, June 29, was extremely delighted with his move to the Stadiumclub.
“This is a good step for my career and my development. Feyenoord is a top club in Holland where I can play for 50,000 fans”, Elabdellaoui said while talking to journalists.
The Rotterdammers technical director, Martin van Geel, was also pleased with the acquisition of the young versatile forward, and revealed that the club wants the youngster to reach a higher level.
“He’ll play on a higher level than he’s doing now. We want him to reach a higher level and stay on that, just like John Guidetti did here”, Van Geel was quoted as saying to the media.
Elabdellaoui has an ongoing contract at Etihad Stadium that runs until the summer of 2014. However, reports indicate that Feyenoord will be looking to make his move permanent, should the youngster meet expectations at De Kuip Stadion.
